Dr Munirah underwent primary care specialist training in the UK, completing with a Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP). She became passionate about hospice and palliative care during her time at Rotherham Hospice.
Upon returning to Malaysia, Dr Munirah spent five years with Kasih Hospice Foundation, providing home-based palliative care to patients and families in the community. She was also a board member of the Malaysian Hospice and Palliative Care Council (MHPCC).
Dr Munirah went on to become Lead of Medical Services at LW Medical Associates, where she started Care2U In-Home Healthcare to expand the access and reach of home visits in Klang Valley.
Since 1st August 2026, Dr Munirah now leads MYA Home Care, bringing her depth and breadth of primary care, hospice and community palliative care experience, skills and knowledge to bring the best care to patients and the community.
